Romanian unionists have started an indefinite walkout against latest austerity measures. There are pickets around every public facility in the country including hospitals, schools and even police stations. The number on strike is closing on a million as industrial workers start joining in.
Back on Sunday, the government tabled bills to cut pensions and public sector pay, axe social programs and sack some 300 thousand government employees. It said it was following directives from the International Monetary Fund.

Turkey has summoned the Israeli ambassador to the country over a deadly strike by Israeli navy on a Turkish-sponsored humanitarian Gaza aid convoy.
Israeli envoy to Istanbul Gabby Levy was summoned to the Turkish foreign ministry on Monday after Israeli forces stormed a Turkish aid ship.
"We will convey our reaction in the strongest terms," AFP quoted a Turkish diplomat as saying on condition of anonymity.
Turkey's foreign ministry later released a written statement and strongly condemned the "inhumane practices of Israel."
"This deplorable incident, which took place in open seas and constitutes a fragrant breach of international law, may lead to irreparable consequences in our bilateral relations," AFP quoted the statement as further warning.
The aid convoy co-organized by the Turkish Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH) was intercepted in international waters, more than 150km (90 miles) off the coast of Gaza.
At least 10 people were said to have been killed in the attack and more than 50 others were injured. Israeli soldiers also detained activists accompanying Gaza Freedom Flotilla.
Carrying 10,000 tons of supplies and accompanied by hundreds of politicians, activists and journalists, the aid mission intended to break Israel's crippling siege on Gaza, where 1.5 million impoverished Palestinians are facing a humanitarian crisis.

In the near future
In the near future we who are your brothers and sisters from other star systems will materialize some of our starships for all on your planet to observe. For some this will be a confirmation of their long-held knowledge of our existence. For many it will be a confirmation of their belief that Earth is not the lone inhabited planet. For others it will shatter their beliefs.
First of all let us reinforce that we come in peace. We do not come to frighten, or to impose ourselves upon you. We are your brothers and sisters from other planets. We come to assist the humans of Earth as your planet returns to its pristine state.
Governments around the world will be shaken by the appearance of our ships. No longer may they claim to be the highest authority. Their denial of our existence will cause people to question the legitimacy of their power. Ordinary people will begin to look at those who consider themselves superior in new ways and will no longer accord them their prior status. Ordinary people will now know that they have been lied to, as many in their governments have know of our existence for many years.
The media will similarly be criticized for its refusal to admit our existence and its cover-up. Our sudden appearance will cause some in the media to dig out earlier instances of contact and replay them as background, thus the misinformation and cover-up will become apparent for all to see.
The impact of our appearance on religions will be most immediately felt as they scramble to explain how to fit their antiquated belief systems into the reality of life not only on distant planets, but in plain sight in your atmosphere. The fundamentalists of all religions will attempt to turn our appearance into a fearful event, claiming we are evil and that this is the predicted end times. This is not the end; this is a new beginning. As we said earlier in this message, we come in peace.
There will be similar impacts on corporations who have hidden knowledge of us despite their the reverse-engineering of our crashed craft, on the members of the medical establishment who also have hidden their familiarity with us from having examined our fallen brethren, and on the energy companies who would keep you tied to fossil fuels despite the availability of other technologies. Science will be forced to revise many of its traditional theories, for we are violating many sacred tenets.
Our appearance is important, however the impact of our appearance is much more so. Take a moment now to think how it might change your life, and prepare yourself, for this event will happen soon.

I am always interested in discovering historical material that helps to better understand this process of humanities integration into extraterrestrial realities. I stumbled across Gavin Menzies book 1434 recently that provides quite a body of evidence suggesting that the European Renaissance was sparked by the overt and covert introduction of advanced Chinese science and technology. I had read Gavin's first book 1421 years ago, but the evidence he had collected was a bit flimsy and a fishing expedition of sorts, but since then many more historical scholars have become involved all over the world and a huge body of evidence is building supporting his speculations and initial data. (See evidence section http://www.gavinmenzies.net/evidence.asp ) This is causing a complete rewrite of history for the 1300s and 1400s, even interesting the Smithsonian, and gives us a road-map of the the process by which contact with a more technologically developed civilization integrates into a lesser advanced hierarchical society on earth.
History seems to be once again repeating itself where global rulers are allowing scientific and technological knowledge from extraterrestrial contact to covertly leak out into the public domain for their own benefit, while at the same time suppressing other knowledge that would weaken their hold on power. This exact same process seems to have happened in Europe when the Chinese leaders make contact with European leaders, who supported at the time, severely distorting the historical record as to where these ideas and knowledge originated.

I believe extraterrestrials have ignited a modern global renaissance in science and technology the likes of which has not been seen for 600 years. When the Chinese ignited the Renaissance they were just as alien and technologically advanced in relation to the Europeans as extraterrestrials are to us today. European political, military and religious leaders acted is very similar ways to exploit the technologies involved while at the same time suppressing the real source of the information and other information that would weaken their hold on power.
In both cases the initial cultural shock was quickly replaced with the emotions of fear and greed. In 1434 the military feared the advanced gunpowder weaponry and naval capabilities of the Chinese that quickly sparked a rapid gunpowder arms race and naval buildup that resulted in the European voyages of discovery and colonization. This calender required very complex astrological calculations of the earth's rotation, varying speeds around a elliptical orbit around the sun, etc. The Chinese had even noticed moons around Jupiter visible to the naked eye in certain locations in China in 364 B.C..
How can we account for such similar political reactions and responses by the authorities of both periods and their learned servants? I think the answer is inherent in autocratic rule that is driven in a large part by fear, deception and greed and is by nature insecure as leaders can fall from power just as quickly as they rise to power. Obviously any democratic or populist countermanding force has been far to weak in both cases to have any significant immediate check on autocratic power and societal exploitation of the technologies involved. This even at the great expense of the overall evolution of society as a whole.
It remains to be seen if the situation will change over the longer term in regards to extraterrestrial knowledge due to democratic disclosure rumblings and extraterrestrial disclosure activities by the ET's themselves. If the Chinese source for this advanced scientific and technological knowledge in 1434 could be effectively covered up for 600 years, 60 years seems a very short time. But on the other hand just as Chinese advances in printing technology helped to rapidly integrate Chinese advanced knowledge and fuel the Renaissance, so too the Internet seems to be not only uncovering old Chinese-European secrets but now ET secret classified knowledge is being uncovered and distributed to the public as well.

How can we account for such similar political reactions and responses by the authorities of both periods and their learned servants? I think the answer is inherent in autocratic rule that is driven in a large part by fear, deception and greed and is by nature insecure as leaders can fall from power just as quickly as they rise to power. Obviously any democratic or populist countermanding force has been far to weak in both cases to have any significant immediate check on autocratic power and societal exploitation of the technologies involved. This even at the great expense of the overall evolution of society as a whole.
It remains to be seen if the situation will change over the longer term in regards to extraterrestrial knowledge due to democratic disclosure rumblings and extraterrestrial disclosure activities by the ET's themselves. If the Chinese source for this advanced scientific and technological knowledge in 1434 could be effectively covered up for 600 years, 60 years seems a very short time. But on the other hand just as Chinese advances in printing technology helped to rapidly integrate Chinese advanced knowledge and fuel the Renaissance, so too the Internet seems to be not only uncovering old Chinese-European secrets but now ET secret classified knowledge is being uncovered and distributed to the public as well.

However, WMR's federal and Gulf state sources are reporting the disaster has the real potential cost of at least $1 trillion. Critics of the deal being worked out between Obama and Hayward point out that $10 billion is a mere drop in the bucket for a trillion dollar disaster but also note that BP, if its assets were nationalized, could fetch almost a trillion dollars for compensation purposes. There is talk in some government circles, including FEMA, of the need to nationalize BP in order to compensate those who will ultimately be affected by the worst oil disaster in the history of the world.
Plans by BP to sink a 4-story containment dome over the oil gushing from a gaping chasm one kilometer below the surface of the Gulf, where the oil rig Deepwater Horizon exploded and killed 11 workers on April 20, and reports that one of the leaks has been contained is pure public relations disinformation designed to avoid panic and demands for greater action by the Obama administration, according to FEMA and Corps of Engineers sources. Sources within these agencies say the White House has been resisting releasing any "damaging information" about the oil disaster. They add that if the ocean oil geyser is not stopped within 90 days, there will be irreversible damage to the marine eco-systems of the Gulf of Mexico, north Atlantic Ocean, and beyond. At best, some Corps of Engineers experts say it could take two years to cement the chasm on the floor of the Gulf.
Only after the magnitude of the disaster became evident did Obama order Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano to declare the oil disaster a "national security issue." Although the Coast Guard and FEMA are part of her department, Napolitano's actual reasoning for invoking national security was to block media coverage of the immensity of the disaster that is unfolding for the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Ocean and their coastlines.

Emergency preparations in dealing with the expanding oil menace are now being made for cities and towns from Corpus Christi, Texas, to Houston, New Orleans, Gulfport, Mobile, Pensacola, Tampa-St.Petersburg-Clearwater, Sarasota-Bradenton, Naples, and Key West. Some 36 FEMA-funded contracts between cities, towns, and counties and emergency workers are due to be invoked within days, if not hours, according to WMR's FEMA sources.
There are plans to evacuate people with respiratory problems, especially those among the retired senior population along the west coast of Florida, before officials begin burning surface oil as it begins to near the coastline.
There is another major threat looming for inland towns and cities. Hey everyone. This is one of my first posts on this website. I really enjoy the conversations and most of the time the open thinking that is going on. I am commenting on this subject matter because it involves an area of expertise that I am involved with in my line of work. I am in the entertainment business and have done many of these talk show formats myself. Indeed it is a live interview meaning there are no stops and starts which in TV standards is still considered "live" but they are not always "broadcasted" live as they are happening... My point being is that on this particular occasion the graphics are edited into the show afterwards...sometimes minutes afterwards...this graphic should have been placed after the interviewee made the comment but instead was placed in before. It was indeed an error and an embarrassing one. Notice that they were not accepting audience call ins during that episode...which is always a good indication if it was "truly" live that night or not. It was still a good catch but the only thing we have proved is that Larry King Live isn't exactly as live as they sometimes claim to be...sadly.
Continue to keep your eyes open...it is all changing.
The hole thing is staged as you can see , but we are getting there .
Little by little one of these days , we will have a true debate on ET ;)
